About me
I’m currently a Staff Developer Advocate at MongoDB and a former (albeit brief) computer science teacher who enjoys making complex technical topics practical and teachable. I’ve worked in tech for over 15 years and trace my career path to a deeply influential high school teacher whose passion for Computer Science was transformative. Over the years, I’ve also worked at security, storage, and cloud infrastructure companies. I hold a Computer Science bachelor's from UMass Boston (‘11), a master’s degree in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University (‘14), and completed the UTeach program at UT Austin (‘22). “Never Stop Learning!” Today, I teach technical concepts to developers and other industry practitioners—so my students are a tad bit older—but I still have a special soft spot for middle schoolers. I deliver workshops worldwide and enjoy teaching technical topics ranging from foundational database knowledge to newer AI topics such as Vector Search, RAG, and agentic systems. I empower builders—some human, some not-so-human:)—and build engaging content for all.
