About me
Dr. Alison N. Norman is an Professor of Instruction and the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Education in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin. As Associate Chair, she has been part of the team that launched X+CS at UT Austin and created the Accelerated Transfer Program. She has also worked to improve student outcomes and well-being during and after their time at UTCS. Alison's current teaching responsibilities include the undergraduate operating systems course, which she has taught to almost 4,000 students since Fall 2012, the introduction to the Ph.D. program course required for all UTCS Ph.D. students, and the first-year seminar course for UTCS undergraduates.
