Corey Rogers is an Education Producer with the Micro:bit Educational Foundation. With over 22 years of experience in education, Corey has worked as a middle school STEM and Computer Science teacher, Media Specialist, and Computer Science, Digital Learning, and School Improvement Consultant for Iowa’s Area Education Agencies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Mathematics from Grand Valley State University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Administration from Concordia University. Corey specializes in helping educators and districts implement equitable, sustainable PK-12 computer science and data science learning through coaching and the continuous improvement process. Corey is the past president of the CSTA Iowa Chapter and actively contributes to advancing computer science education as a member of several national and state-level STEM and computer science organizations, including the CSTA Standards Revision Writing Team, the CSTA PD Committee, and the Southeast Iowa STEM Advisory Board.
Outside of work, Corey is an avid reader, novice crocheter, and loves playing over complicated board games. She is a proud wife to Glen and mom to Rory and Howard. Corey’s preferred pronouns are she/her.
