WeTeach_CS Summit 2026

Yvonne Loya is the dedicated Program Manager for K-12 Partnerships and Development at UTeach Computer Science (CS). In her role, she oversees marketing and recruitment efforts, professional development opportunities for computer science instructors, and ensures the UTeach CS curricula remains relevant through ongoing program evaluations.

With a wealth of experience spanning two decades in higher education, Yvonne has been a strong advocate for access, equity, and diversity in post-secondary education. She excels in building relationships and partnerships, particularly with underrepresented communities, and has a deep understanding of cultural competency. Yvonne's expertise extends to connecting with community-based organizations, mentoring teams, and implementing strategic plans to tackle problems.

Yvonne holds a BA in Psychology from The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and a M.Ed in Higher Education Administration from UT Austin. She uses her knowledge and skills to make a positive impact both at the university and within her community. During her free time, Yvonne enjoys outdoor activities, reading, traveling, and exploring the vibrant city of Austin with her husband and two daughters.
