Celebrating Brilliance: Physics-Driven Defense from Medieval Castles to Quantum Security
Monday June 15, 2026 9:45am - 10:45am CDT
In this interactive 1-hour workshop, participants explore Fortifying Castles: Quantum Leap, a project-based learning experience that integrates physics and cybersecurity. Using the driving question, “What will it take to protect our data in a world powered by quantum computers?”, the workshop connects medieval castle defenses to modern digital security. Attendees examine defense-in-depth through historical and contemporary lenses, engage in inquiry-based activities, and see how students apply physics and cybersecurity concepts to redesign castles as quantum-ready data centers.

Escape Room - Cyber Mayhem: A Nuclear Meltdown (1)
Tuesday June 16, 2026 10:00am - 11:00am CDT
The reactor core is going into a catastrophic meltdown sequence!
