WeTeach_CS Summit 2026

In this interactive 1-hour workshop, participants explore Fortifying Castles: Quantum Leap, a project-based learning experience that integrates physics and cybersecurity. Using the driving question, “What will it take to protect our data in a world powered by quantum computers?”, the workshop connects medieval castle defenses to modern digital security. Attendees examine defense-in-depth through historical and contemporary lenses, engage in inquiry-based activities, and see how students apply physics and cybersecurity concepts to redesign castles as quantum-ready data centers.

Explore how Kusto Query Language (KQL) powers real-world cybersecurity investigations in this hands-on session. Participants will work through a KC7 cyber case and learn practical query techniques used by analysts every day. We’ll connect these skills to classroom applications, showing how KQL fosters problem-solving and critical thinking while introducing students to industry-relevant tools. CyManII proposes a session for the WeTeach Summit showcasing how our Education & Workforce Development team directly supports K–12 computer science and cybersecurity learning. We will highlight our hands-on cyber range environments, mobile training vehicle, teacher-focused curriculum modules, and scalable workforce readiness pathways designed to strengthen classroom instruction and real-world application. Our presentation will demonstrate how these turnkey tools empower educators, enhance student engagement, and align with WeTeach’s mission to expand high-quality CS and cybersecurity education across Texas and beyond.

This session introduces StopHackGo, a hands-on instructional framework that helps K–12 educators engage students in physical computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity through real-world IoT challenges. Participants will explore project-based activities supported by ethical AI tools that encourage problem solving, creativity, and critical thinking. Designed to celebrate student brilliance, StopHackGo bridges theory and practice while promoting cybersecurity awareness and computational thinking. Attendees will leave with adaptable lesson ideas, implementation strategies, and resources ready for classroom and workshop use.

In this hands-on session, participants will explore machine learning and AI through core concepts from the AI4GA curriculum. Educators will train a real-image classifier using Google’s Teachable Machine by collecting image data, building and testing a model, and iterating to improve accuracy. The session highlights classification, training data, model accuracy, and bias while celebrating student brilliance through creativity, collaboration, and iterative problem solving, helping all learners see themselves as capable AI thinkers and informed digital citizens.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in practical, interactive activities, exploring coding and cybersecurity concepts from a student perspective. The Amazon Future Engineer Career Tours and Cyber.org curriculum, designed for grades K-5, emphasizes the integration of foundational computer science principles and cybersecurity education. These programs feature engaging Kahoot quizzes to promote an enjoyable and interactive learning experience while developing essential technology skills.
